Tavan made a very cute mess the other night while eating some pudding. I decided to finally just let him try and eat it by himself and when I looked over to check on him, this is what i found! The mess only stayed long enough for these pictures than was cleaned up! yay for clean children!!!

Weekend Hike

This Saturday Ricky and I were quite bored. So we decided to go for a little hike...
My mom was kind enough to watch Tavan for us so it could just be the two of us. It has been raining here all week so it was a little muddy but that didn't stop Ricky from taking our "mom-mobile" off roading. While hiking I almost stepped right on a rattle snake. I didn't see it all, I just heard the rattle, looked down and booked it out of there! Later on, Ricky saw a lizard, said it like charged him, then taunted it more...and sure enough the little lizard charged him and tried to climb up his pant leg...It was mildly amusing to see his reaction/ dance. Here are some pictures

Mud crusted cliff that looked pretty neat

a thin piece of rock we found, which had a hole it it, so it became a mask...
Colorado in all it's brown-ness
I should have taken an after picture...This was only half of the mud that got on the car that day.
Poor Priscilla.... :(

2T

Thats right! 2T!
for the past month or so, Tavans pants have been quite snug and hard to pull up. So today I pulled out a pair of 2T pants that we have had in storage...and TADA! They fit perfectly (well they are a little long on him....but not much). After I pulled them up, and he ran away to go play, I bawled...My baby is getting so big. What happened??? I am so glad he is growing up. He has been wearing 2T shirts and whatnot for awhile now but this is the first day for the bottoms.

He is so cute and this stage has been the best so far (a close 2nd is the "brand new" newborn stage). Tavan is SOOOOO full of personality and I LOVE IT. Tavan can say so much and understands most everything we tell him.He is learning daily and loves to explore. He is very independent and so far (when he isn't tired) plays well with others. I couldn't ask for a better baby boy! Love you Tavan!

I love his "cheese" face...he is so stinkin' cute

He loves cars and trucks so much......
pure bliss is what i see in his face while driving his car

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers day to all the wonderful mothers out there!

I spent my day in the arms of this handsome little guy!

I am who I am today, because of the mothers I had in my life. There have been quite a number of women in my life that I consider my "mother", From my own mother, grandmother, aunts, even some of my friends moms. These women helped shape who I am today. They have taught me everything I know and for that I am grateful! Thanks moms!

Happy Mothers day!!!

1-800-222-1222

When it rains it pours, right? This week it has. Today was going great until about 4:45 p.m.. I had heard the washer and dryer signal that they were through with their current load and I decided to jump the gate, run upstairs, process laundry and use the restroom. Tavan in the mean time was standing at the gate at the bottom of the stairs crying my name, then he went silent. I was gone for 2min and as I came down the stairs with my load of dry clothes...I see him.........Tavan is sucking on the ant poison and licking it with his tongue.... As soon as he saw me he knew what he was doing was wrong....I quickly washed his mouth out and hands and anything else that might have touched the poison and grabbed my phone....(why is it they drill poison controls phone # in your head, then when you really need it...you can't recall it?) Poison control looked up what Tavan had ingested and said that in the worst case scenario, Tavan would puke within the hour... Good news is....he never lost his lunch! I think that the "side effect" he had was a tingling tongue. After he drank it , he kept sticking his tongue out and playing with it, chewing on things etc...I am so glad that Tavan is OK. I hope that I only ever have to call poison control this one time. I would not wish the rush of emotions that I went through on anyone!

Now that everything has passed, I can take a step back and laugh a little at myself. First of, my initial facial expression must have been good, after all, Tavan knew something was up instantaneously. Second, I am one of the most precautious(sp?) moms i know. I have locks on EVERY cupboard, outlet plugs in every outlet, Anything that Tavan could possibly get hurt by is put up and locked up. The kid doesn't even like anything dirty, slimy, stinky and is not allowed to even go near sharp objects....and the one thing I leave down in his area ( it was even hidden under a bookshelf that no one would ever see unless they looked for it) and HE FINDS IT. Third, this evening I pulled out the camera to take pictures for this post and decided to take a little video...and what does my child do during the video.....he laughs...and says "trash"...he cracks me up. Enjoy!
-For those who didn't already know, the title of this post is the poison control phone #, write it down, save it to your contacts etc...

My little ant eater after his bath (ignore the necklace, this kid has STYLE, watch out ladies)

How cute is he? again, the necklace, and the laundry basket (same load of towels i brought down grr)

I took this shot to show what exactly it was that Tavan drank....oh and did i mention that it had probably about 5 dead ants on it this morning when I checked it? well those ants are no where to be found, which leads me to believe....Tavan ate them....awesome. the one the left is the one he ate, the one on right is a new one.

add it to the list...

So, remember this lovely little pill that I would only have to take for 5 days every month.....well, I hate it. I don't hate much in my life but I believe it is safe to add Clomid to the list. I started taking it on Monday and felt funny all day. I thought it had to do with me having a HUGE migraine on Saturday, which resulted in a trip to an urgent care center down in Grand Junction Colorado, to get a shot in the bum. I still had a headache on Sunday so I thought just the overall "blah" feeling was a result of Saturday.....little did i know it wasn't. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, I could barely get up off the couch or even open my eyes (thank goodness Ricky had a few days off). Finally when I still felt like crap on Tuesday, I got this genius idea to look up the side effects of Clomid....and well here is what I found on http://www.drugs.com.

Blurred vision or vision problems (spots or flashes); breast tenderness; dizziness; enlarged breasts; enlargement of the ovaries; flushing; headache; hot flashes; lightheadedness; mood change; nausea; pelvic pain or bloating; stomach pain; vomiting.

funny of this little paragraph I had

Blurred vision or vision problems (spots or flashes); breast tenderness; dizziness; enlarged breasts; enlargement of the ovaries; flushing; headache; hot flashes; lightheadedness; mood change; nausea; pelvic pain or bloating; stomach pain; vomiting.

I am a little excited that I only have one more pill to take till next month! I do miss driving (my vision is so messed up that I refuse to drive) Good thing the whole town of Rangely is only a mile long so I am able to walk with Tavan everywhere!Ricky has been such a huge help while I have been out of it. I am so thankful that I have him.
