Happy Birthday Dad!

yesterday my dad celebrated his birthday and so I just wanted to take a moment to say Happy Birthday Dad! Love you!

So proud that you are my dad. Thanks for always being there when I need you!

104 weeks and counting

For Jason!

On Wednesday February 15th we dropped Elder Jason Stults off at the MTC for his mission to Sofia, Bulgaria.Jason is the first of my brothers to go on a mission and dropping him off was a little rough for us! Tavan and Jason have an awesome relationship and Tavan was not OK with him leaving. Whenever I have needed anything, and Ricky hasn't been around to help, Jason has been there for me. When he first said he put his papers in to go, I was OK with it because "we really aren't 'THAT' close"...little did i know that we are a lot closer than i thought. Im doing pretty good, but it has only been a week and he is still in Utah. We will see what happens when he gets to Bulgaria!
My family had a big get together for his farewell and it was fun to get to see everyone. Here are some pictures leading up to the big event!!

On January 28th Jason went through the temple for the first time and Ricky, myself and Tavan went with( well Uncle JoD watched Tavan while we went through).
all of us that went with him

The Morgan Family :)

Next up was "the big event". Before church on Sunday, everyone got together for some family photos.

The "Originals"

right before the photos someone mentioned that every time we take a big family photo one of us is pregnant....so Dimitri stole the spotlight for just a moment....

Everyone that came. All of us kids (with spouses and kids), the Stace and Jan Duval family (minus Dylan), Grandma Dena and Regina Stults

My favorite picture from the whole weekend....Jason and Tavan. We printed this one out for both Jason and Tavans room. Tavan looks at it daily and loves to point out Uncle Jason

and of course one more of my cute little family :)

after church we had everyone at my moms for some food and played some games while we visitied before everyone started to head home. Because I wasn't working, I was able to go with some of my family on Tuesday to Provo, to drop Jason off on Wednesday.Tuesday night we all went to dinner at Tucanos. It was Valentines day so I got to have a dinner date with Tavan and my family. I think I had the cutest date in the whole building! He even gave me the rose that the waiter handed to him :)

Wednesday morning went by so fast and before we knew it, we were loading up in James' Rental car and taking Jason to the MTC

just moments before.....the drop off committee
Tavan and I, Jared and Jenny (Tim Duval's twins that are Jasons age and going to school in provo)Jason, Guy, Cindy, James and Grandma Dena

My last actual hug from Jason for two years!

Tavans hug...

while we drove off Tavan continued to call out for "Jason, come back here" until he fell asleep. It broke my heart and it was the hardest part for me :( Luckily he hasn't been saying it much anymore, but i know that he misses him!

we are pretty excited for Jason and all the experiences that he is going to have in Bulgaria!

Haircut and Animals

Tavan has been super entertaining lately. He is learning so fast that it amazes us. He learned, within a matter or minutes, everyone in our families names and that he is two years old. He tries to show us two fingers but can't figure it out so he holds up all five, its cute. As quick as he has been learning, his hair has been growing. For awhile it seemed like we were trimming it all the time so it was time to get it taken care of. We got it cut a little shorter than we would have liked but it grows back so fast that we aren't worried.
we recently bought Tavan some animals and the night we got them, he wanted to play with them non stop and even show them to Papa Jim, so below is a video that he wanted for you dad.
For those who don't already know, the parents have all found out the name for baby #2 and so we just decided we would let everyone else know. so in case you havent already heard it, Tavan's little brothers name will be Dimitri Daniel Morgan. We are getting more and more excited for this little man to come join our family! I am only a few pounds away from weighing as much as I did when I delivered Tavan, so i think its safe to say I am/will be bigger than I ever was with Tavan. Dimitri is also measuring bigger than Tavan was at this point in the pregnancy, so that makes me happy and a little nervous at the same time :)

Here are some pictures of Tavan and his video for papa Jim

My Birthday

For my birthday this year we didn't do much. Both Ricky and I had to work. :( The Clinic was closed the monday before so my mom and I went and got pedicures together (me for bday and mom for hawaii) On my actual birthday I went to work, came home and we had a small get together for cake and ice cream before my family had to leave for Hawaii.Ricky got me this awesome ring from Kay that i absolutely love and want to wear everywhere because its so fun, but i try not to. Thank you Rick!

The next Tuesday we were able to drive to Park City to meet up with my dad. I was so thrilled when dad said he wanted to meet up that day that I was counting down the days! We were able to drive over, do a little shopping and have dinner with dad. It was short and sweet, but I loved every minute of it. Tavan was pretty excited to see his Papa Jim too. The whole way over he was telling Ricky and I that he was going for a drive to see papa jim and that he was going to give him a squeeze. It was pretty cute when he finally saw my dad and took off with him to go show him the tractors!

after dinner before we said goodbye :(
in baby news....Baby D is doing fabulous. He is pretty active and measures right where he should (Tavan was always small). We are getting pretty excited for his arrival in May :)

Christmas 2011

This year we spent Christmas here at home. We had Rickys big family dinner on the 23rd and had breakfast with my family at our house then dinner at theirs. Tavan had fun opening presents and also enjoyed having an audience (Grandpa and Grandma Stults, Jason and Jo D came to help). Tavan was spoiled by family and Santa and loves all his toys.
