Road Trip!

Now that it is all in the past, and grandma was surprised, I can talk about the trip on here. I was invited to go to my grandmas surprise 80th birthday party in Twin Falls, Idaho. I have been trying to get up there for awhile and so when I got the invite, I knew i was going. Ricky had to work and couldn't get the time off of work (longwall move) so just Tavan and I went. I ended up driving Rickys mom, Paula, to Heber, then driving to SLC to pick up my brother and his 2 girls at the airport before heading up to Twin. Its about a 7 hour drive, but because both Tavan and I travel easily, it went by quick. We both love road trips and having company during the drive always helps! It was so good to see a lot of my family, but by the last night in Twin , this is how Tavan and I felt........
super tired and wore out........but most of all missing Ricky. Tavan did fabulous during the trip and only had a few little meltdown moments, I couldn't be more happy with how he handled it.

We left on Friday morning and i think my drive to Heber with Paula is where I handled the most Tavan meltdowns, but after we dropped her off this is how Tavan traveled...
Saturday was pretty much a blur or emotions, My day started off with this....
awesome.... For those who don't know, this was my first flat where it was just me. I know that my family was all around me, but Ricky has always been with me whenever this has happened. He has always taken care of it and changing a tire is not a problem for him. for me it is a foreign language. I was so thankful that my family was all around but it ended up being Joshua and his wife Jamie that changed my tire .

good thing too! my lug-nuts were on there super tight! and wheel locks....yeah i had no clue how to deal with those....Thanks again Josh!!!! Shout out to Les schwab for fixing my tire and putting it back on for me with no charge...
meanwhile back inside the hotel, Grandma showed up and the party began. There was so many family members there that I haven't seen for so long and the party was so fun to catch up at. Here are some pictures that were taken with my camera ( i didnt take as many as i would like but here is what i have)

Grandma and her kids :) good looking bunch
grandma, dad and all his kids :) so glad my brothers could come!

The Jim Varley family (minus Brandon and Haley) with spouses,
notice my spouse...she is pretty good looking!! Thanks again Grandma!
Jeremey and I
I don't get to see Jeremey very often because of our busy schedules
all the girls minus Haley
before we all left the hotel
too bad Tavan didn't look at camera
me, dad and grandma
I have learned a lot from her
and last
Tavan was sooo ready to go home and see his daddy and HIS bed
he missed both dearly....
Like i said, i didn't get as many pics as i would have liked to but that's ok. My trip home went smoothly. I traveled down to SLC in a caravan with my dads car, dropped my brother and his family off at the airport, drove to Heber and picked up Paula and headed home.
I am so thankful that i was able to do this and to have a husband that lets me. Whenever I am apart from him, I learn more and more that he is so good for me and that I love him more than I think I do. Absence truly does make the heart grow fonder! I love you Ricky!
While I was off partying, Ricky was home slaving away at restoring a corner cabinet for Tavans room. It looks so awesome and I am so proud. I will post pictures another day so stay tuned for that plus Tavans birthday party this weekend!!!
