Flaming gorge trip #2

This weekend Ricky and I decided to make another trip out to Flaming Gorge. The reservoir is so full that they are by-passing water and suspect that some time soon they will have to use the spillway (about 5 ft from). We decided if they open it, we will be returning. Here our some pictures from our trip.

Haven't seen these flowers since a hike I took with my dad up Table rock in Medford

on the way back to the Visitor center after our tour. Tavan decided to be line leader, we had a hard time keeping up.

While riding in the elevator, Tavan saw the camera and started saying "CHEESE!!!" over and over again....so we fulfilled his wish

By-pass tubes. They push out 2000 cubic feet of water per tube,per second. The tour guide said a cubic foot of water is about the size of a basketball....so 2000 basketballs per second.

New Ride

While it is no secret on here that Ricky and I are trying for #2, we purchased one of these.

WE wanted to get a jogging stroller for awhile and when we looked around we found that a double stroller was just a little more than a single. Since we are trying we figured we would purchase one now while we have the little extra cash rather than later when we actually have 2 and need it. We finally got it today (took 3 months) and I LOVE IT!

in other news, I had to call poison control again today :( Tavan thought Desitin sounded good and he laid down and started eating it. Good news is...Its ok. even though it says call right away, it isnt really that harmful. Tavan is doing just fine and is his normal happy self. Here is a picture of him in his new ride!

My Coal Miner

Very rarely when I make trips out to the mine, do I get to see my hubs. Today though we worked it out so that i would arrive during the begining of his lunch break, so only because I had the camera in the car did I snap away....

Our visits usually go like this....

Then heads to the back window so he can see Tavan and talk to him

and that is where he stands....outside Tavans window, until I leave so he can go back to work.

I may be bias but he is the cutest, filthy coal miner i have ever seen!

Golf trip

Today my brothers wanted to go golfing so we decided to tag along. Ricky hadn't been golfing for a while and the boys haven't ever really golfed...so it was fun to watch.

Visitors!!

As many of you are already aware, I got to spend a couple of days with my nieces. They are absolutely adorable and Ricky and I love them pieces! We even got a surprise and James and Christy were able to come out for a night before leaving again to go home. I only had the girls at my house for 4 days and Ricky and enjoyed it. We went on many walks and took the girls swimming. Here are some pictures from my weekend (they are out of order but oh well)

I stood here for about five min. trying to get a picture with Christy and she wasn't turning around so yep.....she wasn't to pleased about it. I love the look on Tavans face -"Is my mother really doing that?"

In other news...Tavan got a new toy. Tavan loves to play with "babies" and I mentioned to Ricky that we should get Tavan and boy doll and he said fine as long as it was clearly a boy doll..preferably a Caillou one (Tavans fav tv show) and well thanks to the internet...Caillou doll came in the mail today...and Tavan is quite pleased and has carried him everywhere...

Tavan and I got to babysit one of Tavans friends. Bentleys mommy and I trade babysitting while we work. Tavan loves to play with other kids but is hesitant when they are in "his territory". He gets pretty upset when mommy holds other babies and doesn't like them to play with his toys for the first couple of min. but gets over it

When he would sleep down stairs during the day, I would watch him and think about how lucky I am that I have him. I love him so much and he is so adorable. I will always treasure the memory of my newborn baby Tavan.

1. Tavan will cry when I leave. 2. Tavan will yell ' Daddy, Daddy, Daddy' then switch to "Ricky, Ricky, Ricky" until Ricky answers him 3. He will sit in my lap for a few seconds before he is off 4. He gets excited when we change his diaper, because he knows he will get to throw the diaper away in the trash 5. Tavan uses "thank you" when most people would use "please" 6. He will climb up the couch and point out the window at all the cars and trucks and yell "momma" until I come see what he is pointing at. 7. Tavan probably says "cars" about 100 times a day 8. He probably says momma about 50. 8. He will grab my face and make sure that I am looking right at him before he tells me something....then when he is finished he will laugh and run off. 9. He will run in circles all day, but will stop to give squeezes every now and then :) 10. Takes one 2 hour nap every day.
