This weekend Ricky and I decided to make another trip out to Flaming Gorge. The reservoir is so full that they are by-passing water and suspect that some time soon they will have to use the spillway (about 5 ft from). We decided if they open it, we will be returning. Here our some pictures from our trip.
flowers
little creek
Tavan touching the water. He didn't like how cold it was
Haven't seen these flowers since a hike I took with my dad up Table rock in Medford
on the way back to the Visitor center after our tour. Tavan decided to be line leader, we had a hard time keeping up.
While riding in the elevator, Tavan saw the camera and started saying "CHEESE!!!" over and over again....so we fulfilled his wish
Tavan and I at the base of the dam by the by-pass tubes
By-pass tubes. They push out 2000 cubic feet of water per tube, per second. The tour guide said a cubic foot of water is about the size of a basketball....so 2000 basketballs per second.
can't see them very well, but the fish at the bottom that you get to feed
view from top of dam
Happy "CHEESE" face
