After waking up at 4 and a drive to Grand Junction, Tavan arrived and got all checked in at Community Hospital. He did so much better than we expected we thought for sure because he was going to be hungry he would scream the whole time, but he didnt we just got a lot of this look.

Tavan was pretty mellow and loved the attention. once we were all checked in we had to wait for the doctor and what not so Tavan and i took the opportunity to sleep and cuddle. before we knew it the doctor and anesthesiologist showed up talked to us and Tavans nurse took him away :( Ricky and I waited for like 20 min before the nurse popped in to tell us they were done and Dr. would be coming in...well while waiting for the doctor over the intercom we hear "code in rm 2 PACU (recovery room)" i. start. wiggin'. like really freaking out, but my wonderful husband reminds me that Tavan is ok and that its not him....after what seemed like hours( more like 2 min) Dr. Huffaker walks in and says everything went great and Tavan is out and doing very well.....huge sigh of relief...the code is not mine to worry about.....
shortly after a nurse comes to waiting room gets us and says "he is not happy at all, you better come" and as we start nearing his room we hear blood curdling screams and finally see him after walking down the hall. he takes one look at me and screams bloody murder and once i get a hold of him....he stops....hahah (mommas boy??? i think so) After Ricky and I got back there Tavan was happy and pleasant and ate like there was no tomorrow. then an hour later ate again (we were discharged by then). Since we got home Tavan has done amazing...rarely cries and is one pleasant little boy. Thank goodness. We are so happy that things went well and are excited to see if the frequency of his infections goes away now!

9 months

I can't believe my baby boy is 9 months old! my how time flies! Tavan is doing awesome. He will be getting his tubes in his ears on Wednesday. Dr. Kwak says that Tavan is the poster child for kids that he has seen with weight troubles, Tavan is not maintaining at a constant weight gain...he is skyrocketing! Originally Dr. Kwak predicted that it would take up to 3 months to get back on the charts but within a month Tavan was on...and now he is continuing to have a steep upward climb. YAY! here are Tavans percentages

Oregon trip #2

After a long 4 hour drive to the Ogden area we made it to my brothers house for the night. In the morning i got on my laptop only to find Ricky was online so we started talking with our web cam and Tavan was not sure what to think. it was cute. Once we were ready we all headed for Lagoon where we met up with more of my family. We rode the rides and had fun. After Lagoon we loaded up and headed for Elko NV. once again we had a LONG 4 hour drive before we ended up at the hotel were i got my own room and Tavan and i crashed! in the morning we started out on a not such a great note but eventually made it to my grandmas house.(she was still up north but we made ourselves at home. We got to spend some time there and had a family BBQ. The next day we went to raft the river before we headed for the coast. We camped on the coast and it was cold! i loved it though...i miss the green so much!After the coast we headed back to Medford where we found that packing a car would be difficult because we had so much stuff so Tavan and i opted out and flew home (ThanksJames). I was SO happy to see Ricky in SLC i missed him all week so much. over the week while i was gone we had our 2 year anniversary and Tavan turned 9 months old. Since i was gone away from Ricky i got to realize how much i love what we have! He is truly meant for me! I love my hubby!

Tavan can smack his lips...he has been doing it for quite awhile now but he does it ALL the time now. Ricky and I think that it is so cute....

Tavan still does not like trying to practice to crawl he would rather just pull himself up and try to walk than lay on his belly or up on his hands and knees. He also loves his baby Einstein videos we got for him.

Craftin'

a while ago for a church RS activity i got the opportunity to make some things. I made an apron, potato sack, and wash cloth with a scrubby on it.....it was pretty fun to make and it kept me busy for a few days....once i finished i realized that i had scraps so i made a little lap blanket that i think is really cute! here are my pics

Utah

This weekend we went to Lagoon (Ricky gets free tickets from his job) with some of Rickys friends that he met while on his mission in Russia...since meeting them they have married and are now in the states to attend BYU. so seeing that they might enjoy going to what we think is a small amusement park we invited them and they were excited.For Lyosha, it was his first rollar coaster ride, Sasha had been on 1 before but it wasnt big by any means. It was fun to see these two freak out while standing in line...they were like little kids and they loved every minute of it! At first i was just going to watch Tavan while the 3 of them rode...but thanks to an awesome sister in law (shout out to Jamie) she was happy to watch Tavan for me. After Lagoon we went to dinner with another of rickys friends that he met while on his mission in Russia but lives in SLC. We had dinner with Lyosha, Sasha, me, tavan, ricky, Justin, and his significant other Derek. it was pretty fun but awkward...After spending saturday at Lagoon we went to Rickys friend Jon's for his daughters baby blessing (addison is adorable for all those who didnt know already) then we started our trek back home which included a stop at Bridal veil falls ( a place we have driven by multiple times...but never actually stopped at) it was gorgeous and reminded me of Oregon which brings me to say that i am so excited for this Thursday when i begin to make my way to oregon with my family for a little Duval family reunion. it will just be Tavan and I going but i am still way excited!
